The Elkhorn is part of the new breed of lightweight minimal racks, primarily focused at the bikepacking segment but also preforms well as a lightweight commuter setup.

What separates the Elkhorn from the other racks/carriers in this segment is it’s adjustability, not only can it be run as a front or rear rack, but when using one of Old Man Mountains Axle Fit Kits, it can be mounted to almost any bike front or rear.

It packs down flat for shipping or transport in a bike bag / box and has options to hold cargo cages or water bottles on each leg as well as top stow dry bags or a small basket or box bag. You can also run small panniers like the Stealth Bike Bags Mountain Panniers or Revelate Nano Panniers.

There are 2 height options: SHORT and TALL.

Generally we find the SHORT will work on most bikes including 29ers when eyelet mounted, if mounting via the axle the TALL version is generally best 29er though.

BUT to be safe, we recommend measuring the frame or fork first before ordering to insurer the best fit possible
