Ratio Technology is a small team based in the Lakes District of the UK, they’ve been making various conversion kits for years and for almost as long we’ve been using them to successfully add gear range and reliability to clients bikes.

Up until very recently these kits were the only way (expect going electric) to expand the gear range of a sram expected drop bar bike.

With standard parts a 1 x 11 Sram drivetrain is limited to either 10-42 or 11-46 gear range, with these kits you can now access an 11-51 11 speed cassette or 10-52 12 speed cassettes.

While Sram now has a wide range 12 speed Apex drivetrain, if you wish to use cable actuated brakes or upgrade and existing sram drivetrain this is your best option.

There are kits to convert most older 10 and 11 speed Sram road shifter to 12 speed, as well as either convert an existing 11 speed rear derailleur or a new GX MTB derailleur to work with road shifter.
