We’re big fans of TRP brakes around here, BUT if we’re honest in the cable disc world the AVID BB7 will always be top of the pile for us. The Spyre is a solid silver place though and for bikes requiring Flat Mount Calipers it’s the best option other than a Paul Components Klamper we’ve used

The Post Mount version also works great and when the BB7 is out of stock the Sypre is our best option. Setup is key though and we do seem some riders complaining about these brakes only to find a few simple setup changes can get the brake working as it should.

The Sypre is designed for road pull / short pull levers, so best suited to drop bar setups.
